Morocco trip – 4-12 Mar 2027 – 7 day drive

Welcome to Morocco. A journey back in time through vast landscapes and authentic cities bustling with life – with goats, rivers and people in constant motion. Here you get close to everyday life, far from the usual tourist trails. The adventure begins in earnest as we board the ferry from Spain to Morocco. Along the way and at border crossings, passports and documents must be presented several times; this is part of the charm and experience of traveling between two worlds that are geographically close to each other, but which still feel like two completely different worlds. The trip takes us deeper into Morocco; we drive through the Atlas Mountains and stay in carefully selected hotels that have a distinctive character and are located close to the places we visit. Along the way, we encounter dramatic mountain landscapes, coastal towns and small local communities where traditions are strong. We head straight south towards the mountains and stop for an overnight stay at a selected hotel along the route. Even though we drive through the Atlas Mountains, we stick to paved roads surrounded by mountains and sand. We continue to Marrakech for an overnight stay and a visit to the enormous medina. On the return journey to Spain we visit Casablanca and Rabat. The journey offers a mix of villages, goats, sheep and donkeys, as well as vast fields and – at times – uneven road surfaces. Nevertheless, you will find fantastic coffee carts serving coffee of the highest quality everywhere you look. It is precisely these encounters – between cultures, surroundings and people – that make the trip so special. Road conditions vary along the route, and the standard can be simple at times; this is also part of the experience, and it makes the trip even more exciting and authentic. However, we drive exclusively on paved roads. For this trip you are required to have some experience of driving a motorcycle over longer distances. Welcome.
